October 10th - Red-shouldered Hawks!

Today we saw the first of what we hope to be many Red-shouldered Hawks.  We had 3 circling together up high across the park.  Some low passing clouds made viewing difficult at times.

Monarch butterflies still continue their migration in respectable numbers with another 56 counted today.  Three new birds were added to our fall bird list; the Red-shouldered Hawk, Eastern Towhee, and Winter Wren.  Also, 3 Foxes were seen in the afternoon.

Friday's predicted forecast calls for N and NE winds between 5 and 15 km/h.
